    Orginally opening in 1968 as a 9-hole course, the Merkel Family constructed and opened the 9 hole addition in 2000, making West Bend Lakes an 18-hole championship style course. On sixteen of the eighteen holes water comes into play, and on five holes there are spectacular views of the magnificent Milwaukee River
